UCLA LL.M. Interview Program

Find global talent right here in Los Angeles.

The UCLA LL.M. Interview Program is a recruitment venue for employers interested in enlisting exceptional legal talent from around the world. UCLA School of Law organizes and hosts this annual event, and a consortium of 13 high-caliber U.S. law schools participates in the program. Interested employers have the opportunity to preselect LL.M. candidates for interviews from a collective pool of accomplished internationally or domestically trained lawyers enrolled in an LL.M. program at a participating school. The 2025 UCLA LL.M. Interview Program will take place on March 7, 2025, using a virtual platform. Resume books are also available for employers who wish to interview candidates at another time. Please contact program coordinator Tara McCarney (mccarney@law.ucla.edu) for more information about the program.

    2 Ways to Participate

There are two ways for employers to participate in the UCLA LL.M. Interview Program: Virtual Interviews or Resume Collection:

Virtual Interviews: An employer participating in Virtual Interviews will receive a Resume Book of LL.M. students who have applied for a position with that employer. The employer will then review the Resume Book and select students to invite to interview. Staff at UCLA School of Law will arrange the Virtual Interviews with selected students and provide an easy-to-use virtual meeting room. Interviews will take place virtually on the program date. We will happily accommodate employer time zone differences.

Resume Collection: An employer participating in Resume Collection will receive a Resume Book of LL.M. students who have applied for a position with that employer. After reviewing the Resume Book, the employer may contact applicants to arrange interviews at any convenient date and time, in person or virtually using the employer's own virtual platform.

  • Students

    Student Registration

We accept student registration ONLY through participating law schools. Students may not register individually for the UCLA LL.M. Interview Program. If you would like to participate in our program but your law school is not in the list of  Participating Law Schools, please contact your law school's career services department.

    Student Eligibility

Students are eligible to participate in the UCLA LL.M. Interview Program if they:

    1. are currently enrolled in an LL.M. program at a participating school,
    2. hold a first law degree from the U.S. or another country, and
    3. have not previously participated in the program.

    How It Works

Students will receive registration credentials for Flo Recruit, our online application system and virtual interview platform, from their own law school. Students than apply for positions through Flo Recruit. Employers then review student application materials and select the students they want to interview. Interviews for employers participating in our day of Virtual Interviews will be scheduled through Flo Recruit. Employers doing a Resume Collection will contact students directly to arrange interviews. See below for Flo Recruit instructional video and detailed Flo Recruit instructions.
