Lloyd Pilchen is a Lecturer at the School of Law and teaches Land Development Simulation. He is a partner at Olivarez Madruga Law Organization, LLP, where he practices municipal, environmental, and property law. He serves as legal counsel for cities, school districts, and other public agencies and advises on environmental regulation, government ethics, and planning and zoning. He negotiates complex development agreements and litigates matters involving contracts, real property, construction, employment, and torts.
Pilchen earned his J.D. from USC Law School and B.A. from University of Illinois. He is a recipient of Public Counsel’s Pro Bono Award for his work with its Early Care and Education Law Project advocating for childcare zoning. He is a contributing writer on legal topics for the professional magazine, The American Surveyor.
