Lecturer in Law
Don Shin is a Lecturer in Law at UCLA School of Law and teaches the Criminal Practice Externship Seminar. He currently serves as a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice. Previously, he served as a Deputy Public Defender at the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office and the Alternate Public Defender’s Office.
Professor Shin graduated from UCLA School of Law with a Specialization in Public Interest. As a law student, he enrolled in the Criminal Defense Clinic. He and a student partner represented their client in a criminal trial and won their first not guilty verdict.
